Two Magistrates Exchanging Insults, Lithograph from Les Gens de Justice

A black-and-white lithograph shows two robed men in tall black caps facing each other in a corridor beside a pillar. The taller figure gestures toward the other, whose hunched posture and open hands suggest a heated, sardonic exchange. Dense hatching defines the heavy black gowns against a pale wall.
