Insects and Bamboo
A pale silk album leaf shows bamboo stalks and leaves in ink and muted green washes, with a black-and-white butterfly drifting in the upper right. The open ground and restrained brushwork leave the small insect and the sprays of foliage to carry the composition.
Look closer: A faint small insect, barely visible against the silk near the upper left.
