Study for a Panel, Iowa State Capitol Rotunda (Kenyon Cox)

A pencil study on pale paper shows a reclining female nude raising a small orb in her right hand, her left arm draped along a curved form at right. A faint arc above suggests the curve of a rotunda vault and a vertical guideline runs through the center.
