Clover, Ipswich Prints Series D by Arthur Wesley Dow

A sheet of pale green grassy strokes rises behind three clusters of pinkish-lilac clover blossoms with green leaves, set on a cream ground. Printed text at the bottom reads "CLOVER Sketch from nature" and the 1901 Ipswich Prints credit. The two-tone flat forms and loose brushlike marks give the design a simple, decorative quality.
