Round-bodied clay jar with a wide neck, painted in red bands and wavy lines over a pale buff surface.

Jar

A round-bodied ceramic jar with a wide, slightly flared neck and a rounded base. Red-brown painted bands wrap the shoulder and neck, with wavy horizontal lines above and vertical strokes descending the body over a pale buff slip.

Look closer: Faded white-slip lines run between the red bands along the neck, partly worn away.
