Jar with Handles and Vertical Ribs

A squat stoneware jar with a wide mouth and two loop handles at the shoulder, covered in lustrous black glaze. Thin buff-colored vertical stripes run down the body, and the glaze drips unevenly toward the unglazed brown base.

Look closer: Unglazed brown stoneware shows at the base, with a faint band of incised lines near the bottom.
