Lady Holding a Vase
A standing ceramic figure of a woman with a bun and rounded face, wearing a white robe with red slip stripes and a green-glazed sash. She holds a small rounded vase against her chest with both hands, and the skirt flares widely to the base. The white slip and red brushwork show the Cizhou-style decoration typical of northern Chinese stoneware.
Look closer: Small dark hair ornament or pin at the top of the bun, and a faint green glaze drip on the sash.
