Large-flowered Flat Bill and Sparrow

A small sparrow, its wings spread, perches on a slender green stalk above a cluster of purple and pink flowers with dark leaves. Two stems of grass rise past it. Inscribed poem lines in black calligraphy fill the upper left, and a red seal and signature sit at the right.

Look closer: A red seal and the artist's signature are placed beside the stalks at the lower right.
