Lidded Basket
A square lidded basket woven from dyed ash splint, with a long curved wooden handle arching over the top. The sides and lid show repeating painted motifs in brown, red and ochre, including stylized flowers, stars and diamonds in woven bands. The lid is slightly raised above the body, and the surface is evenly worked with a neat, tight weave.
Look closer: Small painted star-like motifs repeat along the lower band of the basket side.
