Lobed vase with underglaze cobalt blue decoration

A lobed porcelain vase with a tall, flared neck and a rounded body, painted in underglaze cobalt blue on white. Stylized flowering branches climb the neck, while the body carries a scrolling band above a dense pattern of peonies and leafy stems. Thin rust-colored rims frame the mouth and the base of the neck.

Look closer: A small bird perched among the flowers on the lower right of the body.
