Madonna and Child
The Virgin in a gold-patterned blue mantle and white veil holds the nude infant Jesus, who grips a small cross-shaped object, on a gold cloth-draped ledge. Gourds, peaches and apples hang in the upper corners, and a pink curtain and a distant landscape frame the scene.
Look closer: A small fly rests on the stone ledge at the lower left, near the child's cushion.
