Man sleeping at the edge of a wood with a woman knealing at his side w

An engraving of a wooded scene. A kneeling woman in a flowing dress bends over a shallow basin at the feet of a reclining, nude young man, while an elderly, bearded figure behind her gestures upward. Tall, knotted tree trunks rise behind them, and the fine cross-hatching gives the forest a dense, dark texture.

Look closer: A small monogram 'MF' appears at the lower right corner of the plate.
