Marble bust of Herodotos

A marble bust of a bearded man with thick, curled hair, deep-set eyes and a furrowed brow, set on a plain block base. The carved name HΕΡΟΔΟΤΟΣ runs across the front of the base, and the surface shows soft weathering.

Look closer: The name HΕΡΟΔΟΤΟΣ is carved in capitals across the base.
