Marble Roman sarcophagus carved with a frieze of revelers, satyrs and figures around a central god, on a dark stone base.

Marble sarcophagus with the Triumph of Dionysos and the Seasons

A white marble sarcophagus with a continuous relief frieze of nude and draped figures, satyrs and animals crowding around a central enthroned figure. The carving is deep and dense, set on dark spherical feet and a dark stone pedestal.

Look closer: Small carved figures and animals crouch at the lower edge of the frieze, partly hidden by the figures above.
