Mars and Juno; Mercury and Diana in Diagonal Composition

Two octagonal compositions in pen and brown ink with brush and brown wash on cream laid paper show seated figures in classical dress. On the left a helmeted man reclines beside a draped woman wearing a diadem; on the right a seated woman rests her arm near a figure behind holding a winged staff.
