Mat Weight in the Form of a Bear
A small gilt bronze figure shows a bear seated upright, forepaws planted on the ground and clawed hind feet tucked forward. Its broad head has rounded ears and a gaping mouth, and the surface shows worn gilding over darker bronze.
Look closer: Green patina and small losses of gilding show the age of the bronze along the body.
