Merry Company on a Terrace

A festive crowd dines and makes music beneath a vine-covered pergola. A woman in a blue bodice sits at center while a man plays a lute beside her, and a boy on a ladder sings above. A birdcage hangs from the trellis, and two spaniels wait near a child in red.

Look closer: A small dog's leash and a dropped orange lie on the terrace floor in the lower foreground.
