Hand-colored 17th-century card with a standing figure in red, green and yellow, raising an arm and holding a round shield, with red dots and green foliage.

Minchiate (Tarot) Playing Card

A hand-colored playing card shows a standing figure in a red tunic with a green collar, yellow hose and a green belt, one arm raised high and the other holding a round shield with a stylized emblem. Red dots float on the pale field, and a green foliage pattern fills the lower ground in flat, stencil-applied color within a cream border.
