Mirror with Serpentine Interlaces and Angular Meanders

A round bronze mirror with a raised central knob, its back covered in swirling serpentine interlaces and angular scroll patterns cut into the surface. Green and gray patina and loss of metal show age, while a ring of concentric grooves frames the decoration.

Look closer: Fine concentric grooves around the rim frame the decoration and are easy to overlook.
