Moon-Viewing Location (Tsuki no Misaki), from the series One Hundred F
A wooden veranda with a green tatami floor opens onto a moonlit bay, where a full moon hangs above a line of sailing boats and a flock of birds crosses the sky. A pine branch and a lantern-like object frame the view in the corners, rendered in bold outlines and layered color typical of Edo-period nishiki-e printing.
Look closer: A small flock of birds flying across the moon in the upper left sky.
