A hand-colored lithograph shows a farmer in a blue coat and a second man in a dark coat standing before a small brick-and-plank building with a sign reading "Liquors" and a tavern sign hanging above. Oxen pull a loaded cart with a green-tinged mound of hay, and a large tree frames the right side. The printed caption beneath the scene is partly legible.
