Mortgaging the Farm, lithograph by Pendleton's Lithography
A black-and-white lithograph shows a farmyard scene beside a tavern labeled "Licensed to Retail Spirits" with a hanging sign reading "Entertainment." A farmer in a coat stands near a cart with hay and sheep while a man in a dark coat stands in the doorway, with a loaded wagon and a white farmhouse behind. Verses in the upper margin are printed in two columns.
