Painting of a bare autumn landscape with a tall leafless birch on the right, leafless shrubs, and large white clouds over a pale sky.

Autumn Day (Najaarsdag)

A pale oil landscape of leafless shrubs and bare trees stretches under towering white cumulus clouds, with a slender birch on the right and a small distant figure in the middle ground. Muted ochre, grey and cream tones give the scene a quiet, late-season stillness.
