Old Olive Tree and Entablature, as-Samu, Palestine
A graphite pencil sketch on pale paper shows a gnarled olive tree at right, its trunk twisting upward into loose foliage. At left, a partly drawn arched architectural entablature with a carved cornice and a column fragment sits beside a handwritten inscription and a small label reading "Old olive."
