Ji-ten (Prthivi), One of the 12 Deva, Muromachi period
A standing deity fills this tall hanging scroll, shown full length against a dark brown ground. Its body is painted in red and ochre tones with draped garments, and a large arched halo with patterned flame-like shapes frames the head. The painting is mounted within a dark frame and a gold-edged border.
