Owl-shaped Jar
A low-fired ceramic jar shaped as a seated owl, with a pale, pitted head forming the lid and incised scales across the wings. The amber-brown lead-type glaze pools and streaks over the body, and the vessel stands on a plain base against a neutral studio backdrop.
Look closer: Scale pattern texturing the wing on the right side of the body, partly hidden by the glaze drip.
