Pair of Bowls with Peony Sprays on Diaper Ground (exterior); Chrysanth
Two side views of a deep plum-purple porcelain bowl with a band of fret pattern at the rim and a foot ringed with scrolls. Pale pink and white peony blossoms with green leaves climb across a fine diaper ground of repeating small motifs.
Look closer: A small peony bud on the left side of the bowl's shoulder, partly hidden by leaves.
