Palati maioris (Palatine Palace, Rome), from "Roman Ruins"
An etching of ruined brick walls and a broken vaulted arch, overgrown with shrubs and grasses. A small figure stands within the dim archway at center left, while broken masonry and a distant ruin fill the right side under an open sky. The fine parallel hatching gives the stonework texture and depth.
