Peonies
A hanging scroll painting of a flowering peony shrub rendered in ink and color on silk. Large white, pale pink, crimson and violet blossoms, some in full bloom and others in bud, cluster among layered green leaves against a dark brown ground that sets the flowers aglow.
Look closer: A small pale bud peeks out at the far right edge among the leaves.
