Self-Portrait (Selbstbildnis), Printed Plate of a Man in Dark Tones

A dim, dark-toned painting shows a man with tousled dark hair, a small white collar and a shadowed coat, turned three-quarters toward the viewer against a murky brown background. Below the image, a printed plate caption labels it 'Selbstbildnis' and 'Portrait of Rembrandt', dated 'Um 1629' and noted as on wood panel.
