Print of Xu Gate and the City Moat
A circular view shows a massive brick city wall at left, with a red-pillared gateway standing on a grassy bank beside a broad canal. Travelers pass along the path, a rider on a horse waits near the gate, and boats sit on the water under distant hills, a stone arch bridge, and red pennants. Fine hatched lines and pale washes of green, yellow and red add color to the black printed outlines.
Look closer: A small seated figure and a boat with a rower appear on the far right of the water.
