Reclining calf: lid attachment

A small carved figure of a calf lying down with its legs folded beneath a curved body and its head turned to the right. Fine incised lines mark the coat and the ridges along the neck and back, and the dark, polished surface suggests aged ivory. The object is shown against a plain grey background.

Look closer: Fine incised cross-hatching on the calf's head and neck, visible near the right end of the object.
