Ring Inscribed with the Throne Name of Amenhotep III
A glazed faience ring bezel in the shape of an elongated oval seal, its flat face incised with hieroglyphic signs in a vertical arrangement, including an ankh-like sign and a figure above a horizontal base. The deep blue-grey glaze shows wear and greenish tones. The photograph is taken straight on against a plain white background.
Look closer: A small hole pierces the top of the shank, where the ring band attached.
