Etching of crumbling Roman ruins with a tall broken wall, a small arched gate, and trees beside a stone wall.

Ruins and a barred gate on the Esquiline Hill in Rome, from "Roman Rui

A fine etching of a tall, broken brick structure with arched openings rising above tumbled masonry and overgrown mounds. In the foreground, a low wall runs to a small arched gate with a barred door set in a pilaster, and trees stand at the right. Hatched lines model the stonework and sky.

Look closer: The signature 'Sch. Vrankt delin' and 'W. Hollar fecit 1673' appear in the lower corners.
