Miniature Glass Sailboat, 18th-Century Lampwork
A three-masted sailing ship rendered in fine glass threads, with translucent white sails, thin rigging and a band of turquoise glass along the hull. It hangs against a plain grey backdrop, its delicate wire-like structure clearly visible. The piece is made by lampwork, a technique of shaping heated glass by hand.
