Scarab seal and modern impression: Osiris flanked by protective deitie
A dark green jasper scarab beetle with incised wing cases sits beside a pale modern impression of its seal face. The impression shows small figures in an oval field above a ground line. Carved in Egyptian style, the figures are too faint in this photograph to confirm the identity the record gives.
Look closer: A thin ground line runs beneath the seated figures inside the oval impression.
