Scene with Dogs (from McGuire Scrapbook)

A graphite drawing on pale paper shows a standing dog in the center with a second dog lying low in the grass at lower left, both set among loose tufts of brush and hatched ground. Quick, light strokes suggest a wooded bank behind them, with the forms built up through open, sketchy shading.

Look closer: A small insect or fly is drawn in the lower right corner, near a faint sketched stalk.
