Scenes from the Story of the Argonauts

A long horizontal panel divided into scenes in a single landscape. On the left, a ship with sailors rests by a rocky shore, and crowds gather near a coastal town. Center and right show a richly draped carriage, horsemen, a walled castle, and figures on a terrace, all in tempera with gilded ornament around the frame.

Look closer: A small dog stands among the figures in the lower left foreground.
