Seated Amitayus Buddha
A seated Buddha in a meditative pose, hands resting in the lap, eyes lowered and a tight curled topknot above the head. Carved in pale grey stone, the figure wears a robe with incised parallel folds over the shoulders and arms, and sits on a broad lotus-like base.
Look closer: A small vertical mark, the urna, sits between the eyebrows on the forehead.
