Seated Buddha
A small gilt bronze figure of a seated Buddha rests on a lotus base above an openwork scrolled stand. The right hand is raised in a gesture of reassurance, while the left rests in the lap. Green patina shows in the recesses of the stand, and gilding remains on the robes.
Look closer: A small rounded knob or finial sits atop the Buddha's head, marking the ushnisha.
