Seated Guanyin
A carved and painted wooden figure of a seated bodhisattva, one arm draped over a raised knee and the other resting at the side. Its tall crown, flowing garments and jewelry keep traces of red pigment and gilding across a weathered surface, set against a dark backdrop.
Look closer: A jeweled pendant hangs at the chest beneath the necklace.
