Section of a Dharani Pillar
A carved limestone pillar section shows a seated Buddha in the center within a flame-shaped halo, flanked by two figures riding lions or mythical beasts. Inscribed characters run along the upper edge of the faceted block, and the relief is worn but legible in its main forms.
Look closer: Inscribed characters on the upper edge of the faceted block, including names of donors, are easy to overlook.
