Sibyl in the Clouds

A seated female figure with a flowing headscarf reads an open book balanced on her lap, perched on a billowing bank of clouds. Pen and brown ink with brush and brown wash build soft shadows over the drapery, while faint red chalk squaring lines grid the pale background.
