Side Chair
A carved maple side chair with a pierced vase-shaped splat, a shell-carved crest rail, and cabriole legs ending in ball-and-claw feet. The seat is upholstered in bright blue fabric, and the carved shell at the knee and acanthus-style ornament on the legs show the Chippendale-style finish.
Look closer: A carved shell ornament sits on the front of the seat rail beneath the seat.
