Small Persian gouache of Virgo: a seated figure in pink holds wheat in an oval; below, figures and a dark bird on sand beside a river.

Virgo, the maiden: zodiac sign gouache painting

A small gouache painting mounted on a blue ground shows the zodiac sign Virgo in an oval at top: a seated figure in a pink robe and white cap holds a sheaf of wheat. Below, a figure in yellow sits on sandy ground beside a dark bird, while a figure in pink leans in from the right, with a river and birds in the distance.
