Sketches of a Man, Rome

A graphite sketch on cream paper shows a standing figure seen from behind, arms folded, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and loose clothing. Two smaller head-and-shoulder studies of hatted men appear at upper right and lower right, with faint washes of brown tone and the handwritten inscription 'Rome, Oct. 29' at the bottom.
