St. George on Horseback Killing the Dragon

A knight in armor on a pale horse thrusts a lance into a winged dragon writhing at lower left, while a castle, rocky outcrop and bare tree rise behind. Fine dense hatching in black ink on ivory paper gives the engraving its tonal depth.
