A young woman in a long patterned robe stands in profile against a dark ground, head bowed and sleeves drawn across her body. The gold-toned kimono is decorated with floral motifs in brown and white, and the layered fabric falls in soft folds to a red-lined hem. Painted in color and ink on paper, a vertical hanging scroll with a brocade border.
