Gilt bronze statuette of Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin), Northern Wei

A small gilt bronze figure of a standing bodhisattva stands within a flame-shaped mandorla with incised scrollwork, raised on a tiered pedestal and openstand base. The gilding is worn, revealing dark metal in places, and the slender figure holds its hands before its body.
