Study for Dining Hall, Asylum
A pencil study in graphite on ivory laid paper shows a long, high-ceilinged dining hall with rows of seated figures at tables, a pendant lamp hanging from the ceiling, and a handwritten inscription across the top. Two standing figures in long garments appear at the upper left, and the faint lines suggest a quick, preparatory sketch.
